ANALYSIS OF SKILL SHORTAGE PROBLEMS IN TURKISH MANUFACTURING SECTORS

The productivity and growth of an organization relies on the proper handling of social issues. In an organization, skill shortage is an important social issue that must be addressed effectively. Skill shortage occurs when there is a lack of sufficient individuals with specialized skills to work for a specific role in demand. The aim of this paper is to analyze the problems associated with skill shortages and present potential approaches for their prevention. This study utilizes a logical analysis approach, summarizing the particular issues of skill shortages, and proposing symmetrical approaches. The solutions provided in this paper can be implemented in manufacturing organizations to recruit the right talent, thus minimizing the problem of skill shortages. These solutions and suitable techniques have been proposed to reduce skill shortages in the manufacturing sector. In the final section, various solutions and approaches are presented to tackle the problems associated with skill shortages in the manufacturingsector.
