We employ a double-blind peer review system, in which both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review process. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and relevant academic background, and they have no conflicts of interest with the authors or the content of the manuscript.
The typical time frame for the peer review process is as follows:
- Initial Editorial Evaluation: 3–5 working days
- Reviewer Assignment: Within 7 days of submission
- Peer Review Duration: 3–4 weeks (up to two reviewers)
- Final Editorial Decision: Within 5 days after receipt of reviews
We strive to provide authors with a decision within 30 to 45 days from submission.
The editorial decision is based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the academic merit of the manuscript. The possible editorial decisions include:
- Accept without revisions
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
- Reject
In case of divergent reviewer opinions, a third reviewer may be consulted or a final decision will be made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Authors who disagree with the editorial decision may submit a written appeal to the editorial office within two weeks of receiving the decision. Appeals must be clearly reasoned and include supporting evidence. All appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with at least one independent editorial board member not involved in the original decision.
